A Waterlooville opticians invited one of its most loyal customers to officially open its newly relocated store.
Sandra, 83, who has lived in Waterlooville her whole life and has relied on Scrivens Opticians & Hearing Care for her hearing care for many years, cut the ribbon at the larger unit on The Precinct (The Boulevard), London Road, receiving a gift in recognition of her loyal custom.
This is a test
Branch manager Belinda Lipscomb said: “Sandra has entrusted us with her eye and hearing care for many years and she always makes a special effort to pop in and catch up with the team, even when just passing by. It felt only right to celebrate this special milestone with her.

“Waterlooville has so much to offer and we’re excited to grow alongside it. Our new branch reflects our commitment to ensuring local people have access to high-quality eye and hearing care close to home.”
The new store features the latest digital eye examination equipment, two additional testing rooms and an updated frame range, including a wider selection of designer names.

“I’ve been going to Scrivens for my hearing care for many years and the service is always second to none, which is why I recommend them to everyone. So, when Belinda asked me to officially open the new branch, I was quite overwhelmed.
The branch is so light and airy, plus the new range of glasses looks amazing. Belinda and the team are so knowledgeable and always make me feel very welcome – when I’m in the area, I love popping in to catch up. Being involved in the reopening was a truly special occasion and the highlight of my week. I wish them continued success.”
The reopening was also attended by Councillor Antonia Harrison – a Scrivens customer and Cabinet Lead for Community Assets and Waterlooville Town Centre Regeneration – whose presence underlined the significance of the move for the wider town centre.
Cllr Harrison said: “Scrivens is an important part of Waterlooville and its manager, Belinda Lipscomb, plays a key role in the Waterlooville Business Association, leading initiatives such as Waterlooville in Bloom. The new store, with facilities all on one level, is an improvement for all.”
